To take part you must be an eligible SME – this means you must be registered as self-employed or have your own business and be based in England. This workshop is fully funded as part of the STEAMhouse programme. – A personal computer – core i3 or better. You can download a free 30 day trial (the software is free to students, educators and startups). Please note this course covers the professional version. The software has now been released in two distinct forms, personal and professional. – You will need access to Autodesk Fusion 360 software.
It covers key 3D digital design concepts so is suitable for beginners, and also people who are switching to Fusion 360 from another CAD package for the first time. This course is delivered by STEAMhouse and designed for makers from all disciplines and sectors who want to develop their digital fabrication skills. The key skills demonstrated within the video sessions will enable you to start applying digital design tools to your own prototyping workflow. The course is structured around three live group sessions led by Senior Technician Chris Hay who will be available throughout to answer any questions, and support you as you develop your skills and knowledge, so you don’t have to spend hours searching YouTube for the answers!Īs the course builds you will become comfortable using professional tools and navigating the software.
Completely practice-led, you will learn by building real-world objects, moving through the process step by step, at your own pace, with the help of video guides. This short course combines online learning with expert technical support.
